More Baking

Another busy weekend with polyclay! This little cake is one of my new favorites. It may become a ring to wear on my finger.
I skipped around the holidays quite a bit this weekend. I couldn't not pay tribute to Thanksgiving.
I'd like to create some little pies one of these days. I will have to craft some pie pans. And it's not Thanksgiving without a batch of Mom's mincemeat cookies!
Being vegan, perhaps a mini tofurkey is in order ;)
Of course, Halloween will be here in just a few days, so my last minute contributions are:

While I was making the little ghosts, DH was peering over my shoulder saying, Oh, they are so small! What would he think if I started working in 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch scale?!
Baby Boo Cakes

My daughter will love this black cat cake. The paper plate is from Icklebits - isn't it cute?
On Saturday, I participated in a CDHM tut and here's some of the little guys I created:
Hope you enjoyed these little treats! Have a great Monday!

Hamster

I finally got this little guy to the sidebar...Techno nerd I'm not. Click the center of the wheel to make him climb on! Clicking elsewhere gives him a food pellet. Just something fun to do. Hope your Saturday is going well.

Frustrated!

My poor laptop at work - it's old, it's tired, it's overworked. And I've about filled the hard drive to capacity. Yesterday I downloaded all my pictures onto a zip drive and freed up a whole KB of space. And then I promptly misplaced the zip drive. Yes, of course I deleted all those photos off the 'puter. When I least expect it, it will turn up. In the meantime, I will meditate on this gorgeous GA sunrise and calm down. Hope you're having a great Wednesday!

Postscript: I wasn't home five minutes and remembered where I had tucked the zip drive for safekeeping. Feeling even more foolish now LOL Got to love those 'senior' moments!

My Mini Baker has been working hard

Just some of the little pastries I've been making lately. The chocolate glazed choux buns are approximately 1/4" in diameter.

It's the haunting season, so why not an appropriate cake! The bones and skull glow in the dark too.

I love these little pans! It's an empty eyeshadow tin - perfect for a mini 9" square pan.
This is just a sampling of the mini baking I got done over the weekend.
More to come soon!

Welcome to my blog!

This cornucopia was made as part of a four seasons swap/contest I took part in. It now belongs to a dear lady in Canada (who was exceedingly patient waiting for the package to arrive.) It was lots of fun and while I didn't win the contest, I'm very pleased with the items I created. Everything here is crafted from poly clay. Believe me, I was tempted to trash the cornucopia on more than one occassion. This - like the majority of my miniatures - is in 1/12th scale. I have made some 1/24th scale items but they were accidents! Creating foods and plants seems to be what I'm best at and I enjoy it immensely.

Thanks for dropping by!
